Exterior Painting Services in Beaconsfield
We cover every surface type on period and modern properties across the Chiltern district.
Brick and Period Facades
Old Beaconsfield’s Georgian brick frontages on Windsor End, London End, Aylesbury End, and the High Street need breathable coatings. Standard masonry paint seals the surface and traps moisture.
On historic brick, that leads to paint failure and damage to the pointing and face. We specify the correct primer and breathable paint system for each property, and treat any biological growth before painting begins.
Rendered Exteriors
New Beaconsfield, including Burkes Road, Maxwell Road, and Gregories Road, has many rendered elevations approaching their first or second full redecoration cycle.
We check for structural cracks, hollow areas, and poorly bonded sections before starting. Loose render is hacked back and replastered. Cracks are filled with flexible exterior filler before primer and finish go on.
Windows and Woodwork
Timber sash windows, fascias, soffits, and front door painting are all part of a complete exterior. We strip back to sound timber, patch any rot, prime correctly, and apply durable exterior gloss or satin.
For all exterior timber, see our wood painting and window frame painting pages.
Garden Walls and Outbuildings
Properties on larger plots in Penn and the surrounding villages often have stone boundary walls and outbuildings that need the same care and breathable coatings as the main house facade.
Outbuilding painting is quoted as part of the overall exterior project where relevant.
uPVC and Composite Surfaces
uPVC windows, doors, and guttering can be painted with the right preparation and specialist primer. We use a primer that bonds to the plastic before the finish coat goes on and advise on expected lifespan before starting.
For exterior masonry specifically, see our masonry painting page.
Garage Door Painting
Garage door painting on up-and-over, sectional, and side-hinged garage doors requires proper surface preparation and a durable finish. We strip back failing paint, treat any rust or bare metal, and apply an exterior-grade finish that holds colour and resists weathering.

How Our Exterior Painting Process Works
1. Site Assessment
We visit and check every surface — surface type, existing coating, render condition, biological growth, and any structural repairs needed before painting starts.
2. Surface Preparation
We clean moss, algae, and loose material. Render is repaired where needed. Timber is stripped to sound material. Biological growth is treated and allowed to dwell before rinsing.
3. Priming
Historic brick and stone get a breathable mineral primer. Bare timber gets an oil-based or specialist timber primer. The right primer for each surface determines how long the finish lasts.
4. Paint Application
Exterior paint needs a dry window of 48 to 72 hours to cure. We monitor weather forecasts and plan application phases accordingly. Two finish coats are standard; high-exposure surfaces get a third.
5. Inspection and Touch-up
Once the final coat has cured, we inspect all surfaces in good light. Touch-ups are done before we leave. We walk through the finished work with you before closing the job.
